Our Agency



The Chautauqua County Rural Ministry is an interfaith human service agency. It is headquartered in the Coburn Block which is located in the core area of the City of Dunkirk. The building was built in 1868 by Dunkirk Iron Works and is the headquarters for all of Rural Ministry programs.

The Rural Ministry has been in existence for over five decades and currently operates twelve programs. CCRM has a strong foundation in the community and provides services for which no other organization is known for.

Each year thousands of families are assisted through the operations with the basics of food, clothing, shelter and work opportunity.

Annual Yard Sale - June 3rd and 4th

Rural Ministry will be holding its annual yard sale; the agency is seeking any donations of furniture and household items. If you are interested in donating, pleace call the CCRM offices. Items can be dropped off Monday-Friday, 9:00-3:00. Please be sure to clarify that your donation is for the yard sale.

New Staff

Sean Moore has joined the Rural Ministry as our Warehouse Technician. A SUNY Fredonia graduate, Sean is hard working and energetic, and we are glad to have him on board.

CCRM Annual Campaign in June

The Fundraising Committee of the Chautauqua County Rural Ministry board of directors announces the 2010 Annual Campaign. Committee members will be finalizing the annual campaign materials over the next month, with an expected mailing date of mid-June. The CCRM annual campaign is for the purpose of raising funds to assist in the organization's regular ongoing expenses - it is the primariy source of unrestricted contributed income and is tax deductable as allowed by law. The goal is to raise awareness of the programs Rural Ministry operates.
